Wrapping it all up
After finishing up filming we were now ready to start editing the music video. We got much of it done on this day. First we piled all the clips from the phone to the computer and then we placed them in our software iMovie to get started. I have an hp computer so I didn't have iMovie but my teammate did so we used his, we notice little details in our clips that we did not see before. Details like people in the back ground, and the lighting. The process was slow as is with editing from the small details to the finished product their is so much you can add. It was a grueling task of the same scene replaying over and over. Until we had an idea with what do do for the music video. My job wasn't hands on it was helping my group member cut clips and edit them. We did have a few problems with the system not working and his phone being slow. In the end we fixed it by connecting the computer directly to the phone speeding it up. Also, some of the clips needed to be edited down so it would fit in the 1 minute frame. I gave solutions on what to cut and where to cut. Some of the clips we cut were good and others were a little embarrassing, but we were making do with what we had. As we were working away I notice more little things we could have done to make it better, some of the scenes would have been so much better if they had this little detail. I made a mental note note to try to add this in any other film I do. I felt I should hold the camera more stable as we are reviewing the clips and not to tilt it. I was also looking at other music videos online to see if their was anything we could add to make this video pop out. In addition, I did the little details in the parts that we finished up adding some brightness and a few touch ups. As this process goes under I was learning a lot when it comes to filming.
