Filming "production"
My role during our filming process was being the director. I would tell other people in my group what to do, where to stand, and how the process should go down. I used my own idea and ideas of my groupmates to figure out what the plan of action was and some of the problems we had to conquer. Some difficulties I had were the time restraints, I had to come up with a solution to make it easier for us, and it involved trying to take shots at certain times. More problems showed up when we had a debate over a tracking shot or wide shot, so we did both and decided on the wide shot. During a shot I worked as crowd control making sure people did not interfere. Also, I held and set up the props we used. Communication is the most important part in any team so I talked a lot with them involving ideas and solutions. That is probably the most important trait when it comes to directing problem solving. Another task I was responsible was, was the actor having his mask on during shots, so I had to remind him constantly. I also looking over the recent shot and determined if it wasn't good enough or it had some problems. Some of our shots we a far distance from the camera so I had to be hidden between the camera and actor, so he knew when to start. I was also in the shots holding something for our actor to jump over. I worked with our camera man to get the best angles and method of viewing our actor. I worked with the actor so I could get a sense of what his vison is of the shot and I can add on from that. In addition I had to try not to ruin the shot, I had some incidents with that. I helped with the planning of shots with discussing the ending at the track and the sliding down the stairs. I worked with some of the other groups to help us with certain scenes that our 3 man group could not handle. To add on with that, communicate with other groups to not get in their way and for them not to get in ours. In the end I was the the director of our operation making important decisions and having teamwork
