Filming day

The day was set, the props were ready, and the weather was perfect and all I needed to do was wait for my actors to arrive. Once they did, I got them all situated and talked about the plan in person and laid out specific instructions for what was going down. I showed them the props and thankfully they wore what they needed to wear, dark clothing with pants. I told my parents we were leaving going not too far from the house and film and brought the first aid kit just in case. I took them out to the filming location, and it was exactly as how I pictured it and we started to film. The roles we established were that I was the director and actor while the other 3 were a cameraman and the other 2 actors with me. Filming went well and we were making a lot of progress and I was happy since we weren't making much progress earlier due to events that were out of my hands. At first, progress was slow, but I expected that since none of us really had filming experience, we had a lot of fun doing it. I also had to keep a lookout for other people to make sure that they didn't get in the way and ruin the film, so I had to keep a lookout to make sure that when they walked by, we didn't get them in the shot because we don't want to get their faces. And for the shot to be ruined. I also had to teach my friend some of the angles who was the cameraman since he wasn't very experienced holding a camera. During the filming process, we also had two sounds like the people we were trying to imitate so that was a lot of fun. Also, while also doing that. We wasted a little bit of time because some of us couldn't get it down. After a while we took a break, went to my house, ate a little bit, then continued to discuss what was next. I showed the rest of the group the music I would be adding, and they all agreed that it sounded good, it was copyright free, which is the best part, and it also fit the time period. It had been a few hours since we started filming and many of my friends had to go, so we started to wrap up everything and pack up. That they had been successful, and I was really excited for the next time we were going to go film, and only a few problems were encountered. Now that that day I wrapped up, I looked back, reviewed the content, realized we had gone much farther than I thought, and our next filming day won't be as long. Finally, when the last person left, I went to continue studying on how to use my editing software.
