Editing resources
Before I finished up filming, I needed an editing software so I could finish the project. I had to search the web for one and it was very challenging since the different types of software. Some of them have watermarks of the software making it bad and branded. Others would work and had a large subscription fee, and I could not export them. Many others did not work, and I could not connect my files to the software making it useless to me. I needed a software that was easy to use and would take to much time since my schedules are full. I had to learn all on my own with the program I would use from experimenting. Watching YouTube videos helped me get a basic understanding down since most of the programs are formatted the same. I ask friends and family to help teach me how to edit and had no luck. My computer was also an issue due to the fact that it was old and lacking storage so I had to get rid of things on my computer or upgrade and that was not an option. I did have access to Adobe products for free thanks to my school by downloading and booting them up almost never worked. The Premier Pro software was good but I could not use it due to my computer. I wanted to borrow a friends but had no luck because they all needed their own for school and couldn't just go to their house an use it because it would interfere with their projects and tech. To make matters worse one of my actors doesn't want t do the project anymore because he doesn't like it. So, I have to find someone else on short notice to fill in and it makes everything harder. Everything I did with the old actor I have to redo and teach them so it feels the same as the original. The schedule changes with this new person so we will have to wait and see if things work out. Now we have to refilm some shot with him so that it stays constant and flows right. Thankfully we had another willing friend who had time for us, this really my job easier. As a solo I find it hard to tackle most of these problems alone and it wasn't really fun but it is a learning experience that really pushed me.
