The end of a great video

Today was the day we finally finished up the editing of our music video. The final product was better than we expected, from the acting to the camera work. Even though it had many flaws I felt as this project was a step up from the last film. This was my 3rd time ever filming so I had much experience and was hoping to learn more. Finishing up the editing process wasn't bad it was just a long process of cutting and coping. Again my job was not hands on but more of advisor helping him edit our video, and doing small adjustments. While finishing up the rest of the video we ran into the same problems as last time where some of the clips did not fit into the part of the song they needed to fit, so we had to fix it. Also, some of the clips sent into the computer corrupted and we had to delete the old ones and reinstall them again and it worked but the download took a while. Then with another stroke of bad luck we almost lost the entire project when the computer crash while we were tweaking settings, but thankfully the data saved. With all these bad things happening we decided to stop experimenting and just power through the rest of the video. Thankfully nothing else bad happened during the process partly because we stop messing with the settings. I was still researching music videos online to see if their was more for us to add to make the video better. This brought new ideas of jump cuts and different editing ideas to spice up the scene. Despite this we tried to add a split screen but it broke and we discussed it and came the the conclusion to scrap it. In addition I learn the different techniques on iMovie's like the masking and sharpen tool to enhance it. Learning about this allowed be to be more tech savvy and knowledgeable. I knew while filming that we were going to have to extend and cut clips because each part of the song had different lengths connected with the scene. To add on, I almost forgot about a scene we filmed and I had it on my phone so I connected it to his computer but the resolution was bad. So, instead I emailed it to him and he placed it in iMovie and it worked. After this rollercoaster of emotions from loosing clips to finding new ways to enhance the video, we were progressing.
