 Action movies is among the most used genre in the film making industry because people love seeing fight scene and battles that could never happen in real life. Action is about danger and fast-paced scenes that get people interested.  Each of these movies are different in their own respected way, but many of them use the same camera angles, camera movements, mis-en-scene, the sound in the film, and the editing they use. The camera angles used are jump cuts to show the action going on in different points of the scene, high/ low shots to view the villain or hero in the power stance or defeated, point of view shots to see what the subjects sees, and wide shot to get the whole scene in one shot. Camera movements are tracking shots for chases so the viewer can always see what's going on, establishing shots to unveil the location of the action, and panning which allows the camera to move to reveal more to the scene. Title design research Action

1. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones?   There were 6 titles displayed plus the title at the end of the opening. They included the companies and studios at the beginning. Then the actors in the film were scatter out throughout the scene. To the end of the sequence the title of the movie showed "Dare Devil."  2. What connotations do the images carry? (How do you they make you feel)  The images of buildings as the camera shifts and moves around creates a sense of adventure. The nighttime atmosphere makes the viewer feel the sense of not knowing what sin the dark. The lights shifting in and out in a fast-paced way creates a pumped-up feeling. 3. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset? (Can you tell what genre the film is) The way the camera moves all over the city like a superhero with the nighttime atmosphere represents a vigilante type movie. Disaster Struck

Bad news has just reached me today. We would be able to film for most of the weekend and a few days into spring break because of a golf tournament at the golf course where we are filming.  The worst part is that it would have been a perfect day being not blazing hot and the forecast stating that no rain will occur. We can't even film after since it progresses from the early morning to before sunset. Our film needed to have nature lighting and be outside. If we were to film, it would have been very difficult to make sure everyone wasn't in the way and make sure no one got lost. The film would have been ruined if we were to film on those days. In addition the hazel of finding a spot and being alone will be impossible. Although the plan for the tournament is that it should end around midweek (Wednesday), but it's not completely set in stone.  This set back might make it hard to film since we were all free over the week.
