A new project a new me

 My Name is Luke Mehrhoff and I attend Lauderdale Highschool and I am now starting my final task. My journey through the other two projects has been a exciting and memorable, with both films giving me experience and memories. So far these projects had open a new experience to me that I though I would never experience. I have learned so much since I started filming and I feel confident that I can produce an excellent film. I love the methods behind how movies are made from the CGI to the different techniques  used to create amazing shots. This project to me feels like a test, with the other two as practice tests, and I ready to put all that I have learned into my film. I love action war films as I am a history nerd and would love to make a war style film. Movies like Midway, Saving Private Ryan, and Hacksaw Ridges were some of my favorites. Movies had always had a place in my heart for they allow us to see a world never seen before to an escape from reality. I love being creative with my projects and this one is no exception. I have set high expectations for myself with this project I plan to put a lot of effort into it. This project is one of the most unique assignments I have ever had. I miss going to the theater regularly but, due to Covid I had to cut back on it. Learning about the filming process has been the most interesting task I have ever done. This class has opened my mind to a whole new possibility of careers or hobbies. I never knew the kind of steps were taken to create a movie from the brainstorming to the production it all amazes me. The advertisement section as all these levels and complexity that makes it interesting. Looking back on how movies used to be made, with creative techniques to our modern technology it has changed in some ways and stayed in others. Filming has been a wonderful experience with the new problems and ways the solve them evolving as we go. I really enjoy these projects on how different and intriguing they are.

  Research Our group will be doing a Nike commercial. Typically these commercials follow multiple people ranging from average joes to famous athletes partaking in some physical activity. The costumes they wear are Nike branded apparel whether it be shorts, windbreakers, tennis shoes, sports bras, or headbands. Many of the props used were sporting equipment, specifically basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, towels, water bottles, or gloves.  Almost always the actors are fit and drenched in sweat or more accurately spritzed with water right before the shot was taken. Final decision-Action

 I chose the action genre for my opening scene film. Action movies have always peaked my interests with the plot the scene and how they are crafted just make it so perfect. This option is the easiest this action movies have more of my style. Action movie more, so war movies have always grabbed my attention because I love to study history and wars. The atmosphere of the movies just checks all the boxes for me and now that I can create and opening scene to one, I'm all hands on. I already have a great idea of what my opening on my action movie will be. Some of the ones that inspired me were "Hacksaw Ridge" and "Midway" which I loved and learned about. I know how war movies are portrayed, as gritty harsh warzones with empty atmospheres.
