Genre research blog-Action

 Action movies is among the most used genre in the film making industry because people love seeing fight scene and battles that could never happen in real life. Action is about danger and fast-paced scenes that get people interested.  Each of these movies are different in their own respected way, but many of them use the same camera angles, camera movements, mis-en-scene, the sound in the film, and the editing they use. The camera angles used are jump cuts to show the action going on in different points of the scene, high/ low shots to view the villain or hero in the power stance or defeated, point of view shots to see what the subjects sees, and wide shot to get the whole scene in one shot. Camera movements are tracking shots for chases so the viewer can always see what's going on, establishing shots to unveil the location of the action, and panning which allows the camera to move to reveal more to the scene. Working on the props, costume, setting, acting, and make up

 This opening scene needed so many props to fulfill the vision I have to make this film. Since my movie is a war movie it needs guns (not real) that the soldiers will carry throughout the film. I will need to make or get large radios to act as both for music for the film and as a way to talk to the other character. I already had a paintball gun to use, and the other actors had toy guns so, we were set on that. The radio is what I had to search for because any modern Bluetooth radio would look out of place so we had to search from thrift stores to pawn shops I could not find one. If I can't find one then I will have to make or turn something into what looks like a radio, but the search continues. The wardrobe is more complex, and I had to think of what we would wear. I had to consider where the war would take place along with the setting we had and pick an outfit to wear. Finishing the editing process

The ending of the commercial is coming to a conclusion. I saw the final product and it looked prefect from the music, sound, and shots. Some challenges during the final touches of the commercial were the music and sound. The music was still a big problem, from the song not fitting what was needed. Many of the songs suggested by the group were out of place or did not have the beat. The songs tested we some royalty free techno, hip hop, and pop. Since I did not have an editing software I wasn't directly involved with editing. So, when they showed me a version with some music it looked great, but I suggested a song and it turned out to be better. The soundtrack I chose was called run that race from Cars 3. Doing research for that song took some time. I had to look through songs I had and songs suggested by friends and googling running songs.
